Nic is the rare insurance professional that is a “jack of all trades”. He has worked in and around almost every facet of the insurance industry but began his career as project management for a large heavy civil construction firm. His background in construction includes a multibillion-dollar nuclear waste processing facility, FAA infrastructure upgrades, & the erection of over 200 wind turbines. This experience allowed him to transition into insurance with true knowledge of workplace hazards, risk, & safety.
The transition into insurance afforded him the opportunity to use his practical knowledge acquired on the jobsite to assist employers with safety and compliance. He began as a regional loss control representative for an insurance carrier, but quickly elevated himself to the role of regional VP, which brought him to Tampa, FL.
Desiring to further his insurance acumen, Nic decided to pursue his FL 2-20 and become a licensed insurance agent, while also taking the role of Director of Risk Management at a large construction insurance agency. The agency position afforded him the ability to truly assist his insured with safety & compliance while also learning how to develop a bespoke insurance program that is tailored to the needs of each individual client. With this combination of experience, it allows for unmatched sensibilities and insight for business owners.
Nic is a proud graduate of West Virginia University with a degree of Masters in Safety Management. He is a FL licensed 6-20 claims adjuster, 2-20 property & casualty agent, & OSHA authorized 10/30 HR instructor. His free time is spent chasing around his 3 small children & playing the VERY occasional round of golf.
